The Dannecker family tradition with Harmonicas started in 1895 in Germany with the appointment of engineer Carl Dannecker to the Hohner harmonica company. He then dedicated the rest of his working life to the technical development and manufacture of harmonicas.

Many Dannecker family members inherited this love of harmonicas and have continued to serve Hohner over four generations right to the present day with me Antony Dannecker, professional harmonica craftsman and consultant to the Hohner company.

Presently located in Lincolnshire, England my celebrity client list includes "Toots" Thielemans, Charlie Musselwhite, Don Baker, Paul Lamb, Sigmund Groven, Kenny Baker, Paul Jones, Huey Lewis, Charlie McCoy, Tris Imboden (Chicago), Rolf Harris, Mike Harding, Joe Brown & many other harmonica professionals. My most celebrated harmonica client was none other than the late Larry Adler - I had the honour of building and maintaining his mouthorgans for over twenty years.

My harmonicas are in constant demand the world over, especially in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, where the outstanding quality of my harmonicas are legendary.

I personally complete all the work to every harmonica I build or restore guaranteeing that my exacting standards of craftsmanship are incorporated into every harmonica that passes through my workshop.

Many specialist refinements and adjustments are also made to each harmonica to suit the multitude of varied and individual playing styles and techniques that are used today. These refinements ensure that each and every harmonica leaves my workshop perfectly airtight, responsive and has eveness of tone throughout, coupled with the highest degree of tuning accuracy for which I am famous.
